Norske kommuner og sykehus er blitt mer og mer opptatt av eget omdømme, men det som virkelig er farlig for pasientene, er tause helsearbeidere, skriver Kjersti Toppe (Sp).
For tidlig fødte og andre alvorlig syke spedbarn bør ha rett til å bo på enerom med sine foreldre. Spedbarna trenger ro og foreldrenes omsorg. Og foreldrene trenger mulighetsrom til å stille opp og bli trygge og klare for hjemreise, skriver Anders Lødøen Vethe.

Etniske minoriteter uttrykker gjerne smerte annerledes enn det majoriteten gjør. Hvis ikke helsepersonell vet nok om det, kan det føre til både under- og overbehandling.

Det å være helse- og omsorgsminister er en utakknemlig jobb. Den blir ikke lettere i en tid hvor kriser kommer på løpende bånd. Ettårsdagen for Ingvild Kjerkols (Ap) første år som minister er ikke helt som hun håpet på.
Økende sykepleiermangel, en fastlegeordning som kneler, store uløste oppgaver innen psykisk helse og rus, og ikke minst plassering av nye sykehus skal håndteres. Dette får den nye helseministeren i fanget.
Det finnes ikke én oppskrift på hvordan vi som sykepleiere skal møte pasienter og pårørende.
